    Ian McLagan, July 2014. I was lucky enough to photograph the legendary rock’n’roll keyboardist in his dressing room just after he’d played a show in Exeter last year. McLagan was most famous for playing with band The Small Faces/The Faces, but was also known to play with The Rolling Stones, as well as being a session musician with the likes of Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan. Very sadly he passed away last month aged 69, so I feel very fortunate to have taken his portrait. We had a long talk about photography, as he was proud to have taken the picture on his latest album cover ‘United States’.
